I offer no downloads that aren't in the public domain. These are useful and hard to find, but I make no promises regarding their userfriendliness. Use at your own risk. Right click to download.
Recommendations
- mIRC: a nice, stable IRC client.
- IceChat: a flashier but less stable IRC client.
- Open Office: a full-functioning office suite that really rocks.
- GIMP: graphics software that'll blow you away. Like Photoshop, only it doesn't crash as often.
- Startup Monitor: a tiny utility that keeps irritating programs from installing themselves in your system tray. A must-have.
- WordWeb: A fantastic dictionary. It's one of the only things I let live in my system tray.
- IrFanView: a nifty photo viewer with a few editing tricks -- best when used side-by-side with 20/20
- Firefox: the most stable web browser available
- AVG: the best in virus protection
- K-Lite Codec Pack: the easiest solution to the whole codex thing (it makes videos work)
- Winamp: a nice, user-friendly video and audio player
